Confirm that you remember the vault passphrase. Lock My Folders cannot recover forgotten passphrases.
Check that the selected vault file ends in .folderlockstore.
Make sure the destination folder is writable and has enough free disk space.
If the original folder was moved to Trash after locking, do not empty Trash until you have confirmed the encrypted vault opens correctly.
If Finder access is disabled, use Open System Settings in the app and enable the Lock My Folders File Provider extension.
